Urban Planning and Regeneration - Cairo, Egypt
Working for the Aga Khan Trust for Culture's Historic Cities Support Programme, the founder of Community Consortium assisted with the Al-Darb al-Ahmar Project in Islamic Cairo. As part of her work, she helped to manage projects instrumental to the development of a master plan of this community for the metropolitan government. Such initiatives include legal studies of property rights and Islamic tenure, housing rehabilitation and credit programs, community outreach and awareness events.
